Doug Hughes
Born and raised in Las Vegas, he has been married to his beautiful wife Jennifer for over 30 years and has 2 great children: Doug, his son, is a graduate of the apprenticeship program and a 4th generation plumber, and his daughter Ally who is currently working as a assistant manager at a tanning salon.
Doug is a master plumber and been in the business for 25 years. He served a 5-year apprenticeship program where he received both classroom and on-the-job training. Doug has worked and managed many commercial and residential projects throughout the years such as:
He has worked in all aspects of the plumbing field from service to construction. The projects he has managed have ranged from a thousand dollars to billions of dollars. Doug is a firm believer that today’s plumbers are not just plumbers: they are protectors of the heath of our community and our nation.
Doug and his family started Mach 1 Plumbing in January of 2014. We are always educating ourselves and our team to keep up with the most current items and trends in the plumbing trades. Mach 1 Plumbing is a member of the local PHCC of Nevada chapter where he and other contractors work together to provide outstanding education to new apprentices and work with local jurisdictions to maintain quality and excellent standards in the plumbing industry. Doug also sits on the board of directors that oversee the association.
Mach 1 Plumbing is also a member of the local IAPMO chapter and Henderson Chamber of Commerce. Doug enjoys spending quality time with his family, working on his Mustang, collecting vintage toys, traveling, camping with Jennifer, and spending time with his grandson little Dougie.

Jennifer Hughes
Jenn was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She comes from a family of plumbers. Her father, grandfather, and uncles are all retired plumbers, so it was no surprise when she got engaged to a plumber. She has been married to her husband and best friend for 30 years and together they have raised 2 wonderful children, Doug III and Ally. She spent 18 years in the dental field as a chairside, surgical assistant and lab technician.
She left the dental field to become a stay-at-home mom in 2009. She was the Girl Scout leader, room mother, swim coach, and volunteered in the theater department at her children’s school. Her youngest child graduated high school in 2019 and that’s when she started volunteering part time as a secretary and marketing assistant here at Mach 1 Plumbing.
She is a lover of all animals especially dogs, of which she has 4 , Tweak, Anna-Bama, Phoebe, Pike and the newest member Cleopatra , all of which were rescues. In her free time she loves to swim, decorate for Christmas, have coffee every morning with her parents, and cheer on her favorite college football team, the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). She loves to travel, and has been to every US state, Canada, England, and all over Europe. Her favorite thing to do, however, is just get in the RV and go on adventures with her husband Doug, the fur babies and her grandson.
Douglas E Hughes III
Douglas E. Hughes III is a service manager and plumbing professional based in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a leader at Mach 1 Plumbing, Douglas oversees service operations, technician development, project planning, customer relations, and business growth. His work includes managing residential and commercial plumbing projects, preparing proposals and estimates, improving company procedures, and helping technicians strengthen both their technical and customer-service skills.
Douglas takes a practical, hands-on approach to leadership. He focuses on providing clear solutions, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and ensuring customers understand the scope and value of the services being performed. He is also actively involved in expanding Mach 1 Plumbing’s service area and developing systems that improve scheduling, profitability, technician performance, and overall customer satisfaction.
Outside of his professional life, Douglas is happily married to his high school sweetheart. Together, they have one son, Douglas Edward Hughes IV. His family is an important part of his life and a major source of pride and motivation.
Douglas has a wide range of interests. He is an enthusiastic Warhammer 40 k hobbyist with a particular interest in Imperial Knights, the Adeptus Mechanicus, and Astra Militarum armies. He enjoys designing custom color schemes, creating army lore, building hobby spaces, painting miniatures, and planning custom gaming tables and display areas.
He also enjoys gardening and food production in the challenging Las Vegas climate. Douglas has developed an interest in growing vegetables, fruit trees, peppers, tomatoes, onions, grapes, berries, and other crops suited for the desert. His other interests include cooking, fishing, hunting, tabletop role-playing games, investing, business development, and learning new hands-on skills.
Known for his curiosity, determination, strong family values, and problem-solving mindset, Douglas is always looking for ways to improve—whether that means growing a business, developing a team, supporting his family, completing a difficult project, or building something memorable in his free time.
Cathy Mulkern
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, she has been married to Kevin Mulkern for 50 years, and currently has two new fur babies named Shadow and Spooky. She has many loving nieces and nephews and their children in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Florida and Nevada.
Cathy started her accounting career right out of high school at Little, Brown & Co., a well known book publisher in Boston. She worked for the cofounder of the Paperback Booksmith and Videosmith retail chains in Massachusetts when the video rental industry was in its infancy. She has also worked as an assistant controller in the insurance & medical fields and worked her way up to controller and office manager, also in the insurance industry and the convention exhibit industry. Cathy is very grateful for all the supervisors and managers over the years who helped her excel in accounting, human resources and office management.
Cathy now enjoys her part time work at Mach 1 Plumbing as office manager and her semi-retirement. She enjoys travel, hiking, exploring ghost towns and mining areas, rockhounding, playing word games and spending time with her family and her new fur babies.
Adrian Valdez
Adrian was born and raised in Las Vegas Nevada. He attended the magnet program at Desert Pines high school where he was in the culinary arts and automotive tech classes and graduated in 2018. After graduating he was introduced to the plumbing field by his uncle. He joined the Mach 1 plumbing family in early 2023 and instantly fit right in. In his free time, Adrian enjoys spending time with his little daughter and beautiful wife traveling to several national parks, Yosemite being his favorite.
Nick McGuire
Nick was born in Chico, California and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He graduated from Arbor View High School in 2019. He spent much of his time there in theatre and in competitive archery. Nick went into the food service industry after graduating high school and has worked in various kitchens since then. Nick has been working at Mach 1 since 2023 and is now a second year apprenticeship. He is looking forward to his future in this career.
Noah Banks
Noah Banks is an important part of the Mach 1 Plumbing team, helping ensure every project runs smoothly from start to finish. He assists with job site preparation, transporting materials, excavation, cleanup, and supporting technicians throughout each phase of the job.
Noah is known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever he's needed. His dedication to teamwork and attention to detail help keep projects on schedule while maintaining the high standards of quality and professionalism that Mach 1 Plumbing is known for.
Whether working behind the scenes or alongside the crew in the field, Noah takes pride in contributing to exceptional service for every customer.
Casey Hughes
Casey Hughes is the Head of Marketing & Dispatch at Mach 1 Plumbing, where she oversees customer communications, scheduling, marketing initiatives, and the daily coordination of the service team. She is passionate about creating an exceptional customer experience, ensuring every call is handled with care and every customer feels valued from the first phone call to the completion of their service.
In addition to managing dispatch operations, Casey leads the company's marketing efforts, including social media, community outreach, advertising, website updates, and customer engagement. She enjoys finding creative ways to connect with the Southern Nevada community while helping showcase the family values and quality service that Mach 1 Plumbing has provided for over 30 years.
Outside of work, Casey's greatest joy is being a mom to her son, Douglas Hughes IV ("Little Dougie"), who keeps life fun and full of adventure. She also has four beloved dogs—Zeus, Rocky, Alaska, and Delilah—who are an important part of the Hughes family and always keep things entertaining at home.
Whether she's coordinating technicians, planning the next marketing campaign, or spending time with her family, Casey brings energy, organization, and a genuine passion for helping others to everything she does.
